When a missionary family thrives, their ministry can thrive.
However, difficulties of life overseas, relationship issues, and other life stressors can mean that missionary families are not thriving. Sometimes it can feel like you are barely surviving.
TTc's MAP brings together licensed mental health therapists, family counselors, leadership and development coaches, together with a host of other services that can help you and your family thrive both in daily life, as well through a crisis.
The MAP has borrowed elements of what is often seen in corporate Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and created a more comprehensive and tailored service for missionaries. Traditional EAPs are offered by businesses to help employees deal with personal work-related issues that they may have that negatively impact their work performance, health and general well-being. These initiatives usually include assessment, counseling and referrals for employees and, often, their immediate family.
The MAP includes all of this as well as other services tailored to the needs of our missionary members, such as help dealing with cross-cultural situations, and help with life and ministry situations.
The Map is free to all Talent Trust members.
